Hyattville Mayor Kevin Ward was found dead in a city park in McLean, Virginia, on Tuesday. Police say the 44-year-old Ward died from a gunshot wound to the head. He was 44 years old.
Ward was elected mayor in 2021. The city issued a statement on Wednesday.
“Mayor Ward has been a respected and trusted leader and a fierce defender of all Hyattville residents. We are heartbroken by this loss and express our deepest condolences to the mayor’s family.”

Maryland Governor Hogan also expressed condolences to the Ward family.

“Ward has a husband and two adopted sons,” WJLA-TV reports.
Marylanders have suggested that Ward killed himself because of a restrictive vaccine and a Governor Hogan mask.
