Levy, who worked with Mackie on Banker, writes this. The directors have Colvin’s life rights and work with her family. Colvin said: “67 years ago, when history stuck me to the seat of that bus in Montgomery, I could never have imagined that defending my rights could cause a movement that would change the course of history. It is truly a great honor that Mr. Mackie has passed on my story to future generations so that they learn about our past so that they can move forward, knowing that progress is possible and things are getting better. I hope that my story will inspire young people to continue to fight for civil rights and human dignity. “

“I was not only moved, but also inspired,” he said. “It’s great to be a superhero in a movie, but she really lives among us, and I’m honored to tell her story.”
